Peace of mind
Returns & Refunds
We want you to love your Wattwheels. Here's how returns and refunds work, and the rights you always have under the Australian Consumer Law.
Your rights under Australian law
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
Change of mind
We don't offer refunds or exchanges for change of mind, including if a trike doesn't suit your riding, terrain or storage. Please read our Before You Buy guide and contact us with any questions before ordering.
Faulty products
If something isn't right, contact us first. For minor faults we'll fix it by repair or replacement within a reasonable time. For a major failure you can choose a refund or replacement.
Damaged in transit
Please check your order on arrival and tell us about any damage within 48 hours, with photos of the item and packaging. Keep all packaging until the claim is resolved.
Wrong item sent
If we've sent the wrong item, let us know within 7 days. We'll arrange the return at our cost and send the correct item. Items must be unused and in original packaging.
How to make a claim
1
Contact us
Email sales@wattwheels.co.nz with your order number, a description of the problem and clear photos or a short video. Alternatively, click the ‘Submit a warranty claim’ link below.
2
We assess it
We'll review your claim, usually within 2 business days, and may ask a few questions or for more photos.
3
We sort it out
Depending on the issue we'll arrange a repair, replacement parts, a replacement product or a refund, as required by law.
Refunds
Approved refunds go back to your original payment method, usually within 5–10 business days. Where a product is returned for a major failure, we'll cover reasonable return shipping costs.
Pre-order cancellations
If your pre-ordered trike hasn't been dispatched yet and you'd like to cancel, contact us and we'll talk you through your options.
What's not covered
Normal wear and tear (tyres, tubes, brake pads, chains), damage from accidents, misuse, modification, incorrect charging or lack of maintenance. This doesn't affect your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
